REACHH - Family Advocate - Hinton, WV

The Family Advocate is responsible for providing advocacy, support, crisis services and interventions to all agency clients who are child victims of abuse, neglect, violence or a crime and their non-offending family members. The Family Advocate is responsible for facilitating case management and case tracking services for children and families whose cases are processed at the REACHH-Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and ensuring that child victims have access to available assistance programs. The Family Advocate ensures that other agency services are made available to and accessed by our child clients and their families by making referrals for, scheduling and coordinating mental health and medical services. The Family Advocate interfaces with the Summers County’s Multidisciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) and all other investigative, court and child protection professionals who interact with the agency and is required to testify in court when subpoenaed. The Family Advocate may act as the agency’s liaison with other community partners when deemed necessary by the CAC Director. The Advocate will conduct trainings, presentations and other community outreach projects including fundraising and legislative lobbying activities as assigned by the CAC Director.
Qualifications: BA/BS preferred, preferably in Human Services or Social Work. Experience in human services or social work is required.  Experience in the child welfare system is highly preferred. Excellent communication and organization skills are also a must. The candidate cannot be listed on the child abuse registry and must have no prior history of criminal behavior. The candidate must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.(A criminal background check and a child abuse registry check will be conducted in accordance with the Volunteers for Children Act Public Law 105-251.)

Just for Kids is hiring a dedicated Family Advocate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping families in need and possess a strong background in social work and child welfare with knowledge and familiarity in child abuse and neglect. They are supportive in a challenging field and seek to provide a safe and neutral environment for the investigation of child abuse allegations in a child-friendly atmosphere.

Harmony House, Inc. - Family Advocate - Wheeling, WV

Harmony House is accepting resumes for a full time Child and Family Advocate. This position will work out of their Wheeling office. This is a 40 hour per week position with benefits. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus experience providing services to children and families required. A license in social work is preferred but not required. Just For Kids, Inc. - Forensic Interviewer - Beckley/Hybrid

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Forensic Interviewer at Just for Kids Child Advocacy Center. The Forensic Interviewer will be responsible for conducting interviews with children who are victims of abuse, documenting the interviews accurately, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing court testimony when necessary.
