Family Advocate ⎯ Mountain CAP CAC

At Mountain CAP of WV, Inc., a CDC, Child Advocacy Center, we are seeking a Family Advocate to work with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams, while also performing office assistant duties. This is a full-time, in-office, benefited position.

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in office setting and/or with children/families
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Successful completion of CIB and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Registry Checks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be organized, efficient, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
  • Health insurance billing experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

ABC Program Social Worker ⎯ Mountain CAP CAC

Mountain CAP of WV, Inc., a CDC, Child Advocacy Center’s ABC Program has one licensed social work position in Lewis County. This is a full-time, benefitted position that will work with school-aged children in in the home and in the classroom. This position requires the applicant to hold a minimum of a temporary SW license and the applicant must have experience in working with children and families. Requires clear CIB, APS/CPS, sex offender registry background checks, and clean driving record. Provide resume, letter of interest, and four professional references. Mental Health Advocate ⎯ Child and Youth Advocacy Center

Now Hiring: Mental Health Advocate
Child & Youth Advocacy Center (CYAC)

The Child & Youth Advocacy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Advocate to join our team. This role is essential in providing trauma-focused support and services to children and families impacted by traumatic events.

Position Overview
The Mental Health Advocate is responsible for delivering trauma-focused therapy services to children and their non-offending caregivers. This position plays a key role in supporting healing, stability, and access to care through a collaborative, team-based approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-focused therapeutic services to children and families
  • Conduct clinical assessments and intake appointments
  • Offer crisis intervention and trauma-informed treatment
  • Deliver comprehensive case management services
  • Coordinate care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
  • Assist with Family Advocacy services for clients receiving outside mental health support
  • Provide referrals and service coordination to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

  • Background in mental health, social work, counseling, or a related field
  • Experience working with children and families, especially in trauma-informed settings, preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to a team-based, client-centered approach

Parent Educator ⎯ Cornerstone Family Interventions, Inc.

Cornerstone Family Interventions has a job opening with our Parents as Teachers program serving children and families in Boone and Lincoln County. This in-home family education program is voluntary for families who are expecting or have just had a child.
DUTIES:
•Develop a trusting relationship with the families by making regular home visits
•Provide support and assist in strengthening the parent-child relationship
•Assist parents in improving their parenting skills and in setting goals
•Encourage economic self-sufficiency and education
•Help the family access health care and support from other needed social service agencies
•Share developmental information and conduct developmental screenings
•Coordinate and facilitate Parent Group and Play Group meetings
•Complete required paperwork to document the family’s progress within required time frames
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Associate Degree preferred
•Excellent communication and “people”, organizational, and computer skills
•Early childhood background
•Availability to attend required training including out of county, region, or state
•Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and automobile insurance
•Criminal and protective services background check required
COMPENSATION:
Salary range: $28,500 annually to $36,500 per year. Salary is commensurate with experience and education. Benefits include access to medical insurance with partial premium paid, life insurance, paid holidays, flexible schedule, paid time off, simple IRA, free training. $1,000 salary increase upon achieving 85% of a full case load. A minimum two-year time commitment is requested as the relationship between our parent educators and the families we serve is of utmost importance.
